FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to acoustics. Method of controlling loudness of an acoustic system mounted in a train comprises the following actions. Receiving speech using a microphone, outputting a speech signal using a loudspeaker, determining location of a speech device relative to loudspeakers, controlling output volume depending on location. Location of the speech device is determined based on the positioning signal originating from the active and/or passive element of the transponder placed in the rail vehicle and received by the speech device.
EFFECT: irrespective of conductor position in train cabin all passengers are simultaneously informed by necessary information in easy-to-perceive acoustic mode.
