SUBSTANCE: system which implements the disclosed method includes passive transponders situated in the scanned zone, and a reader having a transceiving antenna, an encoding device, a transmitting device, first and second receiving devices, an estimation unit, a transponder code base unit, a code conversion unit, a threshold unit, a recording unit, a duplexer, first and second correlators, first and second controlled delay units, first and second multipliers, first and second low-pass filters, first and second optimal controllers, a switch, a range indicator, a receiving antenna and an azimuth indicator.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of existing engineering solutions through automatic location of desired transponders.
