SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed for separation of objects differing in mass. Proposed device contains separator 10 capable of selectively separating and transferring objects from first conveyor onto second conveyor. Device 30 measures time interval required by separating member to reach definite point of separation path, said time interval "t" serves as measure of mass of object. Control device 32 controls separator depending on mass corresponding to said time interval "t", duration of extending of separator or applied force is the greater the greater the mass of object.
EFFECT: provision of approximately in value displacement of objects across direction of transportation irrespective of their mass.
