FIELD: manufacture of engines; pistons at automatically controllable degree of compression.
SUBSTANCE: proposed piston has piston pin and bosses; piston and its head are made separately and right-hand trapezoidal thread is cut at area of their connection; antifriction roller bearings are mounted in slots of piston and head threads; cavity formed in upper part of head and piston is used for mounting actuating cylinder which is kinematically linked with engine piston through spherical support; actuating cylinder piston is kinematically linked through rod and spherical support with piston head; actuating cylinder piston is spring-loaded and its cavity is filled with filler, ceresin for example.
EFFECT: simplified construction of piston; reduced rough running of engine operation and wear of its parts; enhanced economical efficiency.
