FIELD: heat engineering.

SUBSTANCE: combustion chamber block designed for employment with gas turbine engine comprises premixing chamber adapted for mixing of fuel and air, and combustion chamber adapted for combustion of fuel and air, said chamber communicating with one another through Venturi pipe. Combustion chamber and Venturi pipe are surrounded with wall so that cooling air passage is defined therebetween. Each of said wall and said mixing chamber wall is equipped with at least one cooling air aperture. Cooling air passage at downstream end of combustion chamber is closed with blocking ring preventing overflow of cooling air available within this portion of said passage directly into combustion chamber, and is in fluid communication with at least one opening provided through mixing chamber wall. Cooling air is heated as it flows over combustion chamber and Venturi pipe and is then directed back into premixing chamber. Such construction of combustion chamber block allows NOx outbursts to be reduced during combustion process.
