FIELD: apparatus for drying articles such as bodies of automobiles.

SUBSTANCE: drying apparatus includes fluid-tight housing with drying tunnel inside it. Large numbers of nozzles are arranged in lateral walls of said tunnel. Hot circulating air is supplied onto dried articles from Said nozzles. Circulating air is sucked from drying tunnel through exhaust openings arranged under dried articles and it is fed in two air chambers placed aside from drying tunnel. Circulating air through said air chambers is sucked upwards by means of blower. Heating unit is arranged in each air chamber and it is oriented, mainly, in vertical direction and consists of large number of mutually communicated tube portions flown around by circulating air and designed for passing primary air. Heated circulating air is fed from discharge side of blower to air distributing chambers restricted at one side by lateral walls of drying tunnel and communicated through nozzles with inner space of drying tunnel.

EFFECT: simplified maintenance, easy access and exchange of members of drying apparatus.
