SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a drying unit for drying objects, in particular automotive frames or parts or bodies thereof, and a method of maintaining concentration of volatile substances in a tunnel. Plant for drying objects which release volatile substances, including drying tunnel (12) with transportation system (15), which transports objects through tunnel, sensors in tunnel for measuring concentration of volatile substances and air exchange units, controlled by said sensors, for air exchange in tunnel, characterized in that said sensors are a plurality of sensors (27) distributed along the tunnel and in contact with air flowing through the tunnel, for measuring change of distribution of concentration of volatile substances along the tunnel, and air-exchange units are a plurality of air-exchange units (21), distributed along the tunnel such that each air exchange unit exchanges air in the corresponding area along the tunnel, wherein plurality of air-exchange units are controlled by said plurality of sensors in accordance with change in distribution of volatile substances concentration along tunnel, so as to maintain concentration of volatile substances along tunnel below preset value. Invention also relates to a method of maintaining concentration of volatile substances in a tunnel below a predetermined value.
