FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for vertical dynamic balancing of rotors at slow speeds of rotation. According to invention, rotor assembly formed by thin-walled process adapter and rotor to be balanced, is installed in conical gas supports of vertical balancing stand. Rotor to be balanced is arranged inside adapter for fixed turning and is set in pre-resonance rotation. After obtaining nominal speed at runout, amplitudes and phases of vectors of vibration of upper and lower supports are measured first with test weights of known mass in planes of correction and then in initial stage, end face plane of adapter being said correction plane. Such measurements are carried out in two fixed angular positions of rotor to be balanced relative to adapter spaced from each other by 180°. Results of measurement are averaged, discriminating unbalances of rotor under balancing and process adapter in checked planes.
EFFECT: possibility of determining mass and angle of balance weight setting in plane of correction at sufficiently high accuracy, bringing to minimum number balancing operations.
