FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention is meant for use when controlling quality of operation of a dynamic balancing stand, used in precision determination of mass-inertia asymmetry parameters of conical rotor machine-building articles, preferably those whose design prevents their balancing at high rotation speeds and requires a vertical position of the axis of rotation, and specifically when checking a low-frequency dynamic vertical balancing stand for conformity with given accuracy standards in given parameter measurement ranges. The method is realised using a reference rotor, whose characteristics and base mounting surfaces of which correspond to characteristics and surfaces of the balanced article. During the controlling process, reference mass-inertial asymmetry parameters of the reference rotor, set by correction weights placed on the correction plane, forgoing multiple measurements of vibrations of the support in which the rotor is mounted, are measured directly.

EFFECT: high information content and reliability of checking quality of operation of the stand in given parameter measurement ranges.
