FIELD: authentication of buyers during realization of interactive commercial transactions.
SUBSTANCE: in the system and method buyer prefers using means of electronic payment, as part of commercial transaction with seller, performed in interactive mode, while it is required to authenticate privileges of client for usage of payment means. Separate authentication service is made on WEB-server and is meant for determining whether buyer has access to certain secret information without revealing secret information to seller. Authentication service informs the seller whether buyer has privileges to use payment means. During identification of buyer, buyer profile data are used, including data about multiple payment tools and delivery addresses used by buyer.
EFFECT: provision of protection from unsanctioned access.
