FIELD: mining industry; methods of the dry concentration of the natural minerals.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the concentration of the natural minerals and may be used at concentration of the wollastonite ores. The method of the dry concentration of the wollastonite ores provides for the dry ore crushing, roentgeno-luminescence separation of the crushed material, fine crushing and sizing according to the grain-size categories of the enriched material with the subsequent magnetic and electrostatic separations for trapping of the impurities and comminution of the produced wollastonite concentrate. Before the operations they determine the value of the greatest diameter(dp) for each type of the ore, at which without any recrushing of the material it is possible to achieve the maximal opening of the splices of the wollastonite with other minerals, and the fine crushing of the enriched by the roentgeno-luminescence separation material is conducted till the determined value of the sizedp. The comminution operation is conducted in the shredding devices of the shock type, then the grinded material is subjected to the grading according to the grain-size categories by the method of the screen sizing. The material of the grain-size category+dp is routed to the recrushing, the material of the grain-size category - 0.1dp is subjected to grading and withdrawn as the product, and the remained material is divided into the grain-size categories, which boundaries are determined from the following condition l<dmax/dmin≤5, wheredmax and dmin are accordingly the maximal and the minimal dimensions of the fragments in their class, with the subsequent direction of the material of each separated class to the two-stage magnetic separation for separation of the highly-magnetic admixtures and the garnet concentrate, which one after the regrinding and the air sizing is withdrawn as the product. The separated non-magnetic material is directed to the electrostatic separation for removal of the admixtures. After that the produced wollastonite concentrate is crushed, classified and removed as the product. The technical result of the invention is the increased processing characteristics of the wollastonite ores upgrading, the increased complexity of utilization of raw materials and quality of the produced concentrates, and also the extension of the line the commercial products.
