FIELD: organic chemistry, herbicides, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to derivatives of substituted sulfonylaminomethylbenzoic acid of the general formula (I): 
wherein R1 means hydrogen atom (H) or (C1-C8)-alkyl; R2 and R3 mean H; R4 and R5 mean H; R6 means H or (C1-C8)-alkyl; R7 means (C1-C8)-alkyl; R8 is similar or different and means (C1-C4)-alkyl or (C1-C4)-alkoxy-group; n means 0 or 1. Compounds of the formula (I) are intermediate substances in synthesis of biologically active compounds possessing the herbicide activity, in particular, in synthesis of sulfonylureas. Also, invention describes methods for synthesis of compounds of the formula (I) and their derivatives.
