SUBSTANCE: according to invention, rotary internal combustion engine contains rotor with displaced axis of rotation, cylinder in working space of which rotor rotates, and engine body. Rotor with displaced axis of rotation is made cylindrical, and in rotates in working space of rocking cylinder setting value of cylinder rocking around cylinder axis. Rotor interacts constantly by two diametrically opposite points on its side surface with two points of inner surface of rocking cylinder working space, and owing to interdependent rotation of rotor and rocking of cylinder, two combustion chambers in working space of rocking cylinder are formed, being separated by rotor. Only one position of rocking cylinder corresponds to instantaneous position of rotor.
EFFECT: provision of improved performance characteristics of rotary internal combustion engine.
