FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: rotary jet engine includes a housing with a rotor located in it and a compressor fixed on the housing. Cavities equally spaced from each other are made on the rotor surface. Outlet nozzles, inlet channels and fuel atomisers are located in the housing. The housing is made in the form of a detachable hollow toroid connected by means of threaded elements along the outer side of the toroid. Rotor is made in the form of a solid toroid rigidly fixed on the disc rigidly fixed in its turn on the shaft. Cross section of the rotor cavities in the plane perpendicular to the engine axis is formed with three sides - a part of toroid the housing in its circumferential direction, a part of circle radius of the rotor toroid, and a part of circle chord of the rotor toroid. The compressor housing is also made in the form of a hollow detachable toroid. The compressor piston-rotor is made in the form of a toroid with a bevelled edge on elliptical trajectory, which has the surface that is parallel to the rotor shaft and to which two spring-loaded dampers are linked. Spring-loaded dampers are located radially between two pairs of inlet and outlet holes of the compressor, and when in a lowered position, a radial section of the toroid of the piston-rotor is closed. Inlet holes of the compressor are connected through valves to an air treatment system. Outlet holes of the compressor are connected through valves to a compressed air tank. The tank is connected through valves to the engine inlet channels.
EFFECT: increasing specific power of the engine.
