FIELD: measuring technique.
SUBSTANCE: contact pressure transducer can be used for measurement of compression strength between two surfaces, for example, when measuring strength of compression of brake shoes against support during process of braking. Transducer has elastic member with flat parallel surfaces and resistance-strain gauge measuring bridge circuit, disposed on one plane of elastic member. Flat load surface of elastic member, tightly connected with supports, has shape of protrusion of its top part, which is disposed symmetrically between supports. Length of load surface is shorter than distance between supports by value of minimal thickness of area of parallel surfaces of the member. Rectangular resistance-strain gauges are placed at lower flat surface inside same thermal area. Longitudinal axes of resistance-strain gauges are parallel to longitudinal axis of elastic member. Resistance-strain gauges are disposed close to supports within area s of compression deformation at application of force and in middle part of surface at equal distance from supports, namely, in places of action of elongation deformation. Resistance-strain gauges are closed from the top by layer of hydraulic isolation, which has uniform thickness. Compact transducer is able of measuring big compression strengths at high changing temperatures with minimal temperature error.
EFFECT: improved precision of measurement.
