FIELD: technology for measuring alternating magnetic values, possible use for determining and/or building magnetization curves of ferromagnetic materials on "open" samples of simple shape.

SUBSTANCE: method for determining magnetization curve of ferromagnetic material includes magnetization of sample of material in form of cylindrical rod with known relative length in homogeneous side magnetic field with strength He, with direction coinciding with axis of body, total magnetic induction B is built in central section of body and dependency B(He) is built, strength of internal field is determined from formula Hi and then target material magnetization curve B(Hi) is determined. Magnetization is continued up to magnetic saturation of material, on basis of measured dependency B(He) induction of field of magnetic is determined, appropriate for saturation of material Bms and magnetization of saturation Ms, at given values of B, relative magnetic induction b is determined, and as demagnetization coefficient, central demagnetization coefficient of cylindrical rod Nc is selected, which is determined using a family of calibrating dependencies of coefficients Nc, or their modified values n=Nc/N0, from b at given values of λ.

EFFECT: simplified procedure of building of said curves, increased precision of building of same and expanded nomenclature of researched materials and products.
