FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves deepening anterior chamber with initial intraocular blood pressure being retained unchanged by applying dosed posterior vitrectomy with balanced salt solution being concurrently supplied to the anterior chamber. Cataract is extracted and intraocular lens is implanted.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in reducing intraocular blood pressure; reduced risk of corneal endothelium and iris injury.
