FIELD: fire-fighting, particularly fire-extinguishing means including that using chemical substances for fire suppression.
SUBSTANCE: method involves delivering fire-fighting halohydrocarbonic composition to fire site; retaining halohydrocarbonic composition concentration up to fire extinguishment. The halohydrocarbonic composition is mixture including heptafluoropropane and one or more chlorine and/or bromhydrocarbon compositions selected from CF3Br, CF2BrCl, CF2BrCF2Br, CF2HBr and CF3CHFBr. Heptafluoropropane concentration is at least 10% of mixture mass. The mixture is delivered as solid stream, wherein volumetric mixture concentration during fire extinguishment is 3-15%.
EFFECT: reduced negative influence on environment.
