FIELD: combined gas fire-extinguishing means used for extinguishing of class A2, B, C and E fires, retarding of explosion-hazard gaseous media, and also localization of class A1 fires.
SUBSTANCE: gas fire-extinguishing composition contains 1-98 wt% of fully or partly fluorinated hydrocarbon or mixture of such hydrocarbons, hydrocarbon containing 3 atoms of hydrogen in molecule, wherein hydrogen atoms are fully or completely substituted with atoms of iodine and fluorine, or mixture of such hydrocarbons used in an amount of from 1 to 98 wt%. Compound additionally contains 1-10 wt% of propylene.
EFFECT: provision for improved fire-extinguishing efficiency commensurable with that of bromine-containing Halons and compositions comprising fluorine-containing saturated hydrocarbons and iodine-containing hydrocarbons, and improved characteristics as to toxicity and corrosiveness.
