FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to system designed for modification of friction surfaces. According to proposed rotaprint-contact method of modification of traction surfaces of wheels and rail, briquette of friction modifier is installed in housing for translational travel towards friction surface to be modified. Briquette of friction modifier is pressed by signal form subsystem of prediction of beginning of skidding operating on bases of analysis of correlation between active and reactive torque in power drive of locomotive and analysis of amplitude-phase-frequency characteristics of friction contact and natural oscillation frequencies. Briquette pressing drive is switched on when moment of appearance of current value of correlation is below threshold level preceding skidding for locomotive of said type and conditions of its operation and also at appearance of amplitude-phase-frequency characteristics of tribospectrum of friction interaction of wheel and rail and appearance of natural oscillation frequencies corresponding to conditions preceding skidding. Briquette pressing drive is switched off when threshold level of correlation is exceeded and values of amplitude-phase-frequency characteristics and frequencies of natural oscillations corresponding to stable adhesion of wheels and rails for said locomotive and conditions of its operation appear. Friction modifier consists of concrete, Portland cement, quartz sand, liquid glass, potassium permanganate made in form of briquette with porous inner structure. It contains additionally soda ash providing reactions of neutralization of oil origin components found between contacting friction surfaces and foaming agent weakening physical and mechanical characteristics of porous die of friction modifier briquette to level at which shear strength of surface layers is overcome by load applied in normal and tangential planes. Friction modifier contains, mass %: soda ash 2-20; quartz sand 0-70; liquid glass 2-30; Portland cement 5-40; potassium permanganate 1-20; foaming agent 1-20.
EFFECT: increased value and improved stability of wheel-rail adhesion.
