FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and aircraft construction areas wherein high-strength and heat-resistant weldable magnesium alloys with low mechanical property anisotropy are used as light-weight weldable structural material, e.g., for manufacturing load-bearing parts operated at high temperatures. Allow according to invention is composed of, %: Zn 01.-2.0, Zr 0.05-0.9, Ca 0.005-0.1, Cd 0.005-2.0, Si 0.005-0.05, Be 0.0005-0.01, Y 3.5-9.0, Gd and/or Dy 0.005-0.3, and Mg - the rest. Alloy can be applied for fabricating welded and non-welded load-bearing parts of aircraft and rocket airframes, including passenger service panels, instrument panels, walking beams, brackets, control parts operated both at room temperature and at elevated (up to 300°C) temperatures, and also in manufacture of parts of sports bicycles, motor cars, motorcycles, and sports equipment.
