FIELD: underground gasification of coal formations by means of transforming coal mass in its position to combustible gas and using the latter in various energy plants.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to method, nitrogen-oxygen mixture is forced into chamber of underground gas generator. Resulting combustible mixture, containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen among the other components, is extracted from gas-draining well. Carbon dioxide is forced additionally to produce extracted combustible mixture with ratio of components CO/H2 ranging from 2:1 to 1:2, or water steam is injected additionally to produce combustible mixture with ratio of CO/H2 ranging from 1:2 to 1:5.
EFFECT: possible control over composition of extracted combustible mixture.
