FIELD: stands for testing structures for strength such as head fairings and compartments of launch vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed test stand has base, bounding cowlings and loading device. Bounding cowlings are mounted on base inside and outside head fairing. Loading device is made in form of elastic power bags located between bounding cowlings and head fairing envelope. Spherical cavity is formed between external bounding cowling and upper taper part of head fairing. Bow-shaped cavities at central angle over frame contour arc lesser than 180° are formed between external bounding cowling and frames of head fairing. These cavities are used for placing power bags in them. Testing conditions are close to real loading conditions.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of test results; enhanced accuracy of experimental ground development work; simplified construction of test stand; reduced usage of metal.
