FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a testing technique and can be used in testing the strength of shells of antenna fairings made of brittle materials, primarily ceramic, in static tests. Fairing is loaded by a control load in the form of a transverse force, or in the form of a longitudinal force, or in the form of a bending moment, or in the form of inertial forces on the acceleration stand, or in the form of an internal excess pressure, or in the form of forces from vibrational loads, or as a distributed pressure on the outer surface, or as a distributed pressure on the inner surface, or as a combination thereof, and then determine, by calculation, the tensile stress along the entire volume of the fairing and the probability of their destruction from the action of the operational and control loads, wherein the value of the magnitude of the reference force is determined from the condition that the fairness of the fairing is equal to the effect of the control and operational loads, and for the operational load, the maximum value of the fracture probability is selected from all calculated loading cases of the fairing in real flight.
EFFECT: increase of the accuracy of the tests.
