SUBSTANCE: method involves building lateral cranial topogram. Scanning is carried out with slice level equal to corresponding to a line binding the deepest points on the anterior maxillary base bone outline and a point where superior outline of articular mandible process turns to posterior outline. Alveolar process defect size, alveolar process fragments width and defect width are measured. Pterygoid process hamulus level of sphenoid bone, real value of hard palate shortening and real horizontal plane length of hard palate is determined. Then relative shortening index is determined as ratio between the real value of hard palate shortening and real horizontal plane length of hard palate multiplied by 100.

EFFECT: improved functional treatment results; full scale patient rehabilitation.
