FIELD: metallurgy industry; methods of manufacture of the steel strips.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of metallurgy industry, in particular, to the method of manufacture of the steel strip and to the cast steel strip. The technical result of the invention ensures production of the steel strip with the preset microstructure and the predetermined threshold of the steel strip yielding point. The method provides for the continuous casting of the melted low-carbon steel in the strip of the depth of no morethan 5 mm having the large austenitic grains of 100-300 micron width and provision of the required yield point in the steel strip by cooling for transformation of the austenitic grains into ferrite in the interval of the temperatures between850°С and 400°С with the preset cooling rate at least of 0.01°C/s for formation of the microstructure allowing to produce the strip with the yielding point at least of 200 MPa. The produced low-carbon steel has the preset microstructure.
EFFECT: the invention ensures production of the steel strip with the preset microstructure and the predetermined threshold of the steel strip yielding point.
