FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to production of high-strength thin moulded trip at two-roll casting machine. Strip is made of steel containing in wt %: carbon - less than 0.25, manganese - less than 0.20-2.0, silicon - 0.05 and 0.50, aluminium - less than 0.01, niobium - 0.01-0.20, vanadium - 0.01-0.20, nitrogen at vanadium-to-nitrogen ratio 4:1-7:1.Steel strip structure consists, mainly, of bainite and acicular ferrite while over 70% of niobium and vanadium exist in solid solution.

EFFECT: thin steel strips with required mechanical properties.
