FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, improved design of cathode device of aluminum cell.
SUBSTANCE: cathode device includes three-dimensional force carcass formed by longitudinal members and cross members; lined metallic bath having windows for outlet of cathode rods. Said bath is arranged inside force carcass; lengthwise beads of bath are joined with inner walls of cross members through wedge-like compensating members. Heat insulation gaskets are placed between bottom of metallic bath and lower members of carcass. Lengthwise beads of bath in zone of its windows for cathode rods outlet are bent inside; end beads of bath are vertical along the whole height and they are provided with force beam having openings. Additional vertical ribs are formed between horizontal force regions of beam for restricting together with force beam ventilation ducts. Along perimeter of bath from upwards flanged sheet is secured; said sheet has vertical ribs arranged outside. Lining of bath includes compensation layers of deformed material, for example of ceramic vermiculite. One compensation layer is placed between walls of bath and lower portion of lateral lining; other compensation layer is placed between walls of bath and lower portion of hearth lining.
EFFECT: increased useful life period of cell, lowered costs for mounting-dismounting cell.
