FIELD: engineering of electric-measuring equipment, possible use for increasing electric safety when performing operations in electric devices with voltage exceeding 1000V of industrial frequency when remotely determining presence or absence of alternating voltage on current-conducting elements.

SUBSTANCE: in accordance to proposed method for determining presence of absence of voltage in electric devices, during control process value of alternating voltage in current-conducting parts of electric device is transformed to direct current signal, on basis of which presence of absence of voltage in current-conducting parts of controlled electric device is detected. Control over presence or absence of alternating voltage in current-conducting parts of electric device is performed continuously, while received direct current signal is transformed to signal for wireless transfer, carrying fixed code series, which is transformed to N receiving devices, wherein received code series is compared to additionally given fixed standard code series, when code series match in each receiving device, control signal is formed, which is sent to indication elements and presence of voltage is confirmed, in case of mismatch of code series control signal is not generated and no indication is performed either.

EFFECT: increased electric safety of operation of electric devices with voltage exceeding 1000V due to continuous and remote control over presence or absence of voltage.
