METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION OF RADIO-RADIATION Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC G01S3/14 G01S5/04

Abstract RU 2294546 C2

FIELD: radio engineering, possible use in radio direction finders, systems of radio control, radio location, radio astronomy.

SUBSTANCE: for constant level of correct identification equal to 0,9 with usage of seven-element antenna system (radius 30 meters, radiation wave length 20 meters) probability of false identification of no more than 0,1 is achieved in case of deviation of direction of radio radiation arrival from standard one equal to 0,04°. In method for identification of radio radiation, including receipt of radio radiation by means of N antennas and N-channeled receiving device, where N>2, measurement of value of angular spectrum of received radio signals from given direction and comparison to threshold, on basis of results of which arrival of radio radiation from given direction is detected, in accordance to invention, additionally measured are value of angular spectrum, maximal in possible directions, and total energy of received radio signals, after that relation of difference of total energy and maximal value of angular spectrum to difference of total energy and value of angular spectrum of received radio signals from given direction is determined, while received relation is compared to threshold, and value of threshold is determined on basis of provision of required probability of correct identification.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of identification due to stabilization of level of correct identification and decreased level of false identification of radio radiation sources positioned close to given direction, and also when noise intensiveness is unknown.
