SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the methods of separation of the immiscible liquids and may be used for separation of the liquids of different density, and also for purification of the polluted by impurities recycled and waste waters in the gas-processing, oil refining, chemical, metallurgy and other industries. The method provides for the uniform distribution of the mixture along cross section of the stream with the subsequent its gravitational separation in the thin layer in the mode of layering at the horizontal movement of the stream. Over the whole length of the area of the gravity separation of the mixture they form the zones. At that the formed in each zone thin layers thickness reduce sequentially from one zone to another in the direction of the horizontal movement of the stream at saving the constant area of the cross-section of the separated stream. The technical result of the invention consists in the qualitative separation of the immiscible liquids due to prevention of the redistribution of the separated streams by the height of the thin layer.

EFFECT: the invention ensures the qualitative separation of the immiscible liquids due to prevention of the redistribution of the separated streams by the height of the thin layer.
