FIELD: treatment facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods of clarifying industrial water from solid suspensions and can be used to treat water in horizontal open settling basins of mines, dressing plants and industrial enterprises. Waste water is supplied to an open water receiver where upfloat of light components, settlement of heavy components and discharge of the clarified water take place. The open water receiver is divided by floating baffles into three sections: inlet, intermediary and outlet ones. The waste water is cooled in the inlet section after the light components have come to the surface and the heavy ones have been settled. The bottom cooled water is bypassed under the floating baffle to the following sections where the suspended particles with the density exceeding the water density are precipitated from the cool water.
EFFECT: invention allows for increasing the efficiency of the waste water treatment implying removal of suspended particles and impurities with the density greater and smaller than the water density.
