FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: initial gas-liquid mixture is fed through the inlet unit, evenly distributed over the flow section and sent to the coagulation unit, followed by gravitational separation in the settling zone. The light phase is separated through a separating nozzle. The heavy phase is withdrawn. The light phase is withdrawn through the branch pipe connected to the float of the drain assembly. In the light phase outlet zone, a streamlined float is installed with a convex portion facing the flow of liquid, the fluid flow is smoothly divided in horizontal movement into, at least, two directions, and the length of the settling zone is increased. Herewith the amount of the branch pipe immersion relative to the liquid level is regulated, and the upper layer of the light phase is continuously withdrawn. When collecting and withdrawing the light phase, an additional multi-stage separation of the light phase is organized by placing additional separating nozzles. The float is of a streamlined shape and comprises a convex part facing the liquid flow, an end part formed by a transversal plane cut, an internal free space, in which a branch pipe is located and sealed by the separating nozzle fixed in the end part of the float.
EFFECT: maximum collection of exclusively the upper layer of the light phase, regardless of the liquid level in the continuous operation of the device and with different consumption of the initial mixture, and, accordingly, improving the quality of the withdrawn separated phases.
