FIELD: mining industry; construction engineering, farming for separation of loose materials by density, size and form of particles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed chamber-type air separator has housing secured on load-bearing frame and made in form of preparation chamber and chamber for separation of coarse and fine particles, proportioner, fan, cascade of planes located in preparation chamber; each plane of this cascade is secured at definite angle of attack relative to air flow; housing is also provided with unloading units fitted with pockets for coarse and fine fractions. Housing and preparation chamber are cylindrical in shape; chambers for separation of coarse and fine particles are located around preparation chamber; they are made in form of sectors of cylinders with vertical walls which are brought in contact. Inclined cascade of planes consists of stack of thickened taper rings at monotonically increasing diameters in form of truncated cone at angle of inclination of its generatrix exceeding angle of repose of material being separated. Thickened taper rings are convexo-concave in radial section which is necessary for increase of rate of laminar flow of air over their upper surface. Proportioner is provided with centrifugal spreader secured on upper base of truncated cone and material particles speed suppressor made in form of ferrule mounted at circular clearance around centrifugal spreader. This ferrule is concave is radial section for enhanced suppression of speed and change of trajectory of particles. Unloading units provided with pockets for coarse and fine fractions are provided with branch pipes in their lower parts for suction of air with separation products followed by motion of these products with the aid of pneumatic conveyer.
EFFECT: increased specific productivity of separator.
