FIELD: inorganic synthesis.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rare-earth metal chemistry, in particular to scandium chemistry. Preparation of KSc2F7 comprises interaction of 0.6 M scandium salt solution with solid potassium hydrodifluoride at F/Sc molar ratio between 5 and 9. Resulting precipitate is washed with water, ethyl alcohol, dried and calcined at 300°C until constant weight is achieved.
EFFECT: simplified synthesis due to excluded co-melting operation.
