FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical engineering. A solution of potassium bifluoride with concentration of not less than 5 wt % is mixed with zirconium oxide which ensures ratio of liquid and solid phases not less than 80 ml/g while stirring and heating to temperature 90-100°C until the zirconium oxide dissolves. The solution is cooled to room temperature and filtered. The precipitate is washed, dried at 100-110°C and calcined at 300°C.
EFFECT: obtaining a K3ZrF7 compound in a single step, using a mother solution containing potassium bifluoride and simplification of the process.
