FIELD: technological processes; nuclear physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of extracting and purifying radionuclide 63Ni preparation and extracting and purifying nickel from industrial wastes. Purification of target radionuclide from 59Fe, 60Co, 51Cr, 54Mn, 124Sb, 46Sc, 117Sn is carried out by deposition of said impurities at pH=5–6 after isotopic dilution with inactive cobalt and oxidation of the latter with potassium or sodium persulphate. Preset pH is maintained by adding to solution of insoluble calcium or barium carbonates.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of extraction and purification of large quantities of 63Ni (tens of grams) of impurities: 59Fe, 60Co, 51Cr, 54Mn, 124Sb, 46Sc, 117Sn, 65Zn from targets without adding additional contaminants.
