FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; production of cast iron in blast furnaces.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes charging coke with additive into central part of blast furnace at ratio of 1:4-1:20; said additive is used for washing the hearth; it contains iron monooxide in the amount of 20-40% at size of 5-200 mm in the amount of 2.5-10% of total consumption of ore burden. Used as additives for washing the hearth is agglomerate or iron-containing briquettes or ore at content of iron monoxide of 20-25%.
EFFECT: increased output of blast furnace; low cost of cast iron.
