FIELD: laser equipment engineering, possible use for creation and support of required concentration of halogen hydrogen in active area of gas-discharge tube.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to method, adsorbent is used as source of halogen hydrogen. Adsorbent is positioned in vessel, having shared volume with working area of gas-discharge tube. Adsorbent is heated till reaching required concentration of halogen hydrogen in active area of gas-discharge tube. Gas-discharge laser tube on vapors of metal halogenide contains vacuum-dense cover. Cover is provided with two electrodes and contains working substance in working channel and additional vessel. Vessel is filled with adsorbent. Adsorbent is saturated with halogen hydrogen. Vessel has shared volume with active area of gas-discharge tube.
EFFECT: controlled concentration of halogen hydrogen in working area of gas discharge tube.
