FIELD: veterinary science, traumatology, orthopedics.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with stable fixation of the fragments of radius and elbow bone in case of their lesion. At proximal antebrachial level being 1.0-1.5 cm distally against caput radius one should apply a couple of intersecting needles, moreover, one of them should be applied through both bones from lateral surface at the angle of 25-30° against sagittal plane, the second - through elbow bone at the angle of 5-10° against frontal plane. The ends of each needle should be fixed upon proximal support of perosseous device. At distal level being 2-2.5 cm proximally against styloid process of elbow bone one should apply three intersecting needles, moreover, one of them should be applied through radius at the angle of 10-15° against frontal plane, the second - through both antebrachial bones at the angle of 50-55° against the first one, and the third - through elbow bone in sagittal plane. The ends of each needle should be fixed in distal circular support. At the distance being 2.5 cm, not more against the fracture line or diaphyseal osteotomy one should introduce per a needle through every fragment of antebrachial bones, moreover, through radius it passes at the angle of 5-10° against frontal plane, and through elbow bone - at the angle of 25-30° against the same plane. The needles should be fixed in corresponding intermediate supports. The innovation provides stable fixation of fragments at minimal damage of segment's muscles and excludes the lesion of the main vessels and nerves. The suggested device for implementation of the present method contains a proximal support, a distal circular support, two intermediate circular supports, thread rods and needles. The needles are located at intersection, and their ends are fixed at supports. Proximal support is designed as an irregularly shaped plate that has got ½ part of a ring, one end of which is made to prolong a ring for the angle-α being equal to 25°, and the second end - for the angle-γ being equal to 60°. Two intermediate supports are connected with proximal support with two through rods passing through two intermediate and a proximal supports. Intermediate supports are inter-connected together with two thread rods. Intermediate and distal supports are connected with thread rods. The device in question provides the chance for fixing the fragments of radius and elbow bone in animals at keeping the function of adjacent joints.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
