FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out corneal paracenteses at 2 and 9 o'clock position. Device for widening pupil is shaped as open ring and introduced through one of the paracenteses. First, its one end is introduced into the anterior chamber. Then, eyelet is caught with micro-hook at the open ring end through the second paracentesis, and the device is located in the anterior chamber on the iris. Papillary iris edge is fixed in turn with micro-hook in hinges of the first order and pupil is widened. Continuous circular anterior capsulorhexis (CCAC)is carried out, CCAC edge is fixed in these hinges of the first order, and arches between hinges of the first order are brought under capsulorhexis edge from inside. Hydrosection, fragmentation and crystalline lens kernel removal, and lenticular mass suction is carried out. Intraocular lens is implanted through one paracentesis, and the hinges of the first order are caught through the second paracentesis with micro-hook for widening pupil. Papillary iris edge and capsulorhexis edge are released from them. The device is introduced into the anterior chamber and the device is removed through same paracentesis from the eye, catching eyelet with micro-hook at one of the open ends. Device for widening pupil is manufactured as open ring with eyelets on both ends. It contains at least three hinges of the first order, spaced equidistantly from each other. One hinge of the first order is available 1 mm far from each eyelet.
EFFECT: effective and atraumatic pupil widening; at carrying out cataract extraction with intraocular lens implantation due to small manipulations number in an eye, reduced risk of traumatic complications; improved visual function condition in early postoperative period.
