FIELD: petrochemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: bitumen composition is heated at 121 to 221°C in presence of cross-linkable polymer and additional cross-linking agent. Thereafter, cross-linking initiator is added at temperature above 182°C and resulting mixture is stirred at 182-210°C over a period of time long enough to complete cross-linking reaction. Additional cross-linking agent is a compound with boiling temperature above 100°C selected from dimaleimide and cyanurate compounds and cross-linking initiator belongs to organic peroxide type.
EFFECT: simplified process and improved property of target product.
