FIELD: oil producing industry; well pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of electric motors of well pumps. Proposed device for cooling and protection of end seal of submersible electric motor of submersible pump from hard particles has disk with blades installed on outer surface of coupling connecting submersible pump with electric motor which is drive of pump. Blades are installed for evacuation of hard particles from zone of end seal through holes in electric motor housing at level of blades and delivery of fresh well liquid through holes in pump base located higher than blades. Hollow cylinder found in lower part of connecting coupling forms, together with cylindrical part of fixed ring of end seal, a clearance being essentially channel to remove hard particles from zone of end seal.
EFFECT: increased service life of electric motor owing to prevention of getting of abrasive particles into friction zone of end seal rings.
