METHOD FOR PREDICTING DENTAL CARIOUS LESION Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC G01N33/487 G01N33/569 G01N33/68

Abstract RU 2296325 C1

FIELD: medicine, stomatology, laboratory diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: under condition of a patient's strictly empty stomach after obligatory cleaning the teeth before the first sample it is necessary take 2 samples of oral liquid into tubes: in 10 min and 40 min. The tubes should be placed into refrigerator at +5 - +8°C for about 6-12 h ( for deposition of large particles) followed by applying supernatant at the quantity of 0.01-0.02 ml onto a slide as a drop to be dried at 17-25°C for 2 h; it is important to carry out comparative microscopy of these samples and at availability of saline crystals along the whole surface of the first sample's drop, and, at least, 20-25% congregations of microorganisms on the surface of the second sample's drop one should conclude upon caries development. The innovation provides the chance to conduct screening trials in organized population and predict caries development in children, young people for carrying out independent individual prophylaxis on the development of dental carious lesion.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of prediction.
