FIELD: electrical engineering; salient-pole electrical machine manufacture.
SUBSTANCE: proposed magnetic-system coil is wound on edge on flat rectangular-section bus. End portions have air gaps between internal turn and pole core butt-end, very thick slot insulation, and air gaps between all adjacent turns of coil end portion, as well as very thick turn-to-turn insulation. Installed in turn-to-turn gaps in longitudinal symmetry plane of coil are solid insulating spacers, their thickness being equal to turn-to-turn gaps in this plane and their width, much smaller than that of pole; these spacers are attached to surfaces of adjacent turns by means of adhesive. Stack of structural components incorporating end portions of coil turns and spacers in-between is braced in longitudinal symmetry plane by means of nonconducting band characterized in high tensile strength. These H-shaped spacers have top height equal to bus width and total height greater by double thickness of band between projections formed by using proposed method. In this way all four rectangular-section sides of each conductor form surfaces within end portion of coil directly cooled with flushing air.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to higher current density in windings and improved heat transfer.
