FIELD: medicine, juvenile surgery.
SUBSTANCE: in the course of post-surgical rehabilitation in children with anorectal defects of development it is necessary to carry out electrostimulation of epidural space through the second external (paired) sacral foramens. Moreover, additionally, it is necessary to introduce an electrode into unpaired foramen of sacral canal to fulfill stimulation of pelvic nerves with asymmetric rectangular double-phase current at the following characteristics: neutral level of direct current, amplitude 90 mA and frequency 100 Hz, about 4-6 seances/d for 10-14 d. The innovation improves the efficiency in treating the failure of rectal sphincters in children and enables to accelerate rehabilitation.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of rehabilitation.
