FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic seal shaft seal comprises nonmagnetic housing that receives magnetic system composed of a permanent magnet and pole members. The surfaces of the pole members that face the shaft are provided with ring grooves. The space between the pole members and shaft is filled with a magnetic fluid. The outer surfaces and/or faces of the pole members are provided with ring grooves.
EFFECT: simplified structure.
