FIELD: pipeline transport.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises assembling the segments to form a semi-rings by hand by setting the entering unit of the first segment in the receiving unit of the second segment. The semi-ring made of segments is provided with a sheet rubber from inside and is mounted on the pipeline. The second semi-ring is mounted from below. By moving the semi-ring along the pipeline surface, its entering unit is set in the receiving unit of the segment of the top semi-ring. The segments of the receiving and entering units are locked. The pipeline is towed into the protecting casing.
EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities.
