FIELD: oil pollution elimination.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in that oil-polluted water surface is treated with finely dispersed linear styrene block copolymer characterized by unlimited swelling capacity, in particular divinylstyrene thermoplastic elastomer used at weight ratio to oil pollutant 1:(3-7).
EFFECT: increased water cleaning efficiency due to formation of strong rubbery tappet and more complete and easy collection of thickened oil.
