FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: ferromagnet finely dispersed absorbent is sprayed onto water surface contaminated with spilled oil. Then oil, absorbent and water are collected for further water cleaning. The collected mixture is pumped through a magnetising device, where ferromagnetic particles in an oil shell are magnetised. The magnetising device includes magnetic plates with an antifriction coating. Then the mixture is sent to a turbulence promoter, in which ferromagnet absorbent particles are coagulated. Aggregated agglomerates of absorbent with oil are separated from water by deposition or filtration.
EFFECT: efficient removal of oil and oil products from water surface and further cleaning of water from oil and oil products.
